Using Your Website as a Client Acquisition Tool

by | Sep 20, 2016

Do you know that you have a client acquisition tool right at your fingertips? It’s perhaps one of THE most powerful tools at your disposal in your marketing arsenal. In fact, if it is used properly, you could be loading up your client pipeline with an endless amount of prospects.

So, just what IS this tool?

Your website.

Just continue reading you’ll see just how easy it can be.

You’ll start with…

Step One: Sign Up With An Auto Responder (AR) Program

You will need some kind of AR program that will allow you to collect emails and send messages on a regular basis, or on any other frequency you’d prefer.

While your contact form can collect information, you’ll want an AR program to do all the heavy lifting for you.

TIP: Your contact form is NOT an AR service, and vice versa.

Step Two: Create Your Offer

Prospective clients visiting your website won’t just readily hand over their information. You need to give them a reason to do so.

Here’s a few offers you can give them in exchange for their information:

  1. Free newsletter subscription
  2. Free membership to some of your best online tools
  3. Free access to a Video, Guide or Course

We won’t go into details about what should be covered in the above, but if you make it relevant to your niche, then you can’t miss.

For instance, if you are in the car repair niche, then creating a short guide on repairs a person can do themselves as well as what the cost savings would be, would definitely be invaluable.

Just do some thinking and you’ll see that you already have the content in your head. It’s YOUR niche and business after all.

Step Three: Follow Up

Once you have collected their information, you’ll need to follow up with them and give them the information that you promised in the first two steps.

All that’s left is to stay in regular contact and make your offers along the way.

That’s it.

We know, it sounds TOO easy. Well, there’s more to it than the three steps outlined above, but that is REALLY all there is to it: Create an offer and collect email addresses, phone numbers and other information in exchange for it.

If you aren’t already doing something similar on your site, then you ought to be thinking about it.

Why?

Simple.

When a visitor comes and goes, you just lost them.

If you are making an offer on your site and they happen to sign up, THEN if they go and leave, you haven’t really lost them for good. You just got a prospect.

Don’t take our word for it though. Look at the bigger businesses and sites. You’ll see that they are ALL doing the same thing – Making an offer and collecting information.

It’s how client acquisition is done in our world today, and it’s what small, medium and big businesses can all do.

What’s nice about this is once it’s set up, that is all that needs to be done.
